I had the pleasure of capturing Dee and Pat’s wedding at The Cathedral ATX, a gorgeous 1930’s refurbished church in East Austin created by women artists and designers located just 5 minutes from downtown. I love its soaring vaulted ceilings, creamy white walls, and massive arched windows that flood the space with natural light. The walls are adorned with vibrant, contemporary art that made for an eclectic backdrop for the celebrations. Pink Mink Stem‘s florals were the perfect touch!
Dee, Pat and I worked closely on timeline and shot list to find the right balance between posed and fly-on-the-wall photos to ensure they had all the time they wanted to soak up every moment.
This wedding was captured on 35mm film in addition to digital to give their gallery even more of that timeless, authentic, nostalgic feel. I couldn’t be happier with the results!
