As a primarily documentary wedding photographer, here are just a few core values that help me best tell your love story:
- Your experience. You only get married once (ideally), and it’s not often that all your beloveds are under one roof. I work closely with couples on how much time they want to spend on posed photos to ensure that they have plenty of time to be present and enjoy being with their guests. Most of the day, I am hunting for genuine human interactions, and moments of connection.
- Connection. The best way for me to tell your story, is to immerse myself in it. Having a relationship with my clients is super important in capturing their love story in a way that is unique to them. For example, if I’m working with a couple, who’s laid-back then I’ll be sure to provide cues and prompts that align with that during couples photos. And I’ll be sure to capture family heirloom that are part of the day, special guests, and the decor and details that the couple put extra TLC into.
- Creativity. I’m here to tell your story in a way that is beautiful, unique, an aesthetically pleasing. This means glorifying tiny details that are meaningful to you, Capturing moments in a way that makes you feel something when you look at them in photos, an accentuating unique elements of your wedding.
- Authenticity. Weddings are beautifully imperfect, and that’s what makes them so special. Let’s embrace the raw, unfiltered moments—the laughter, the happy tears, the spontaneous dance-offs—that make your day uniquely yours. Instead of overly staged poses, I focus on capturing the real emotions and interactions that tell the honest story of your wedding. These are the moments that will bring you back to how it felt, not just how it looked, every time you revisit your photos.
Your wedding is one-of-a-kind, and I’m here to document it in a way that feels true to you. These core values are the foundation of everything I do, ensuring that your story is captured in the most meaningful and authentic way possible.
