Boudoir Photography – A Journey of Healing and Acceptance

Eight years ago, I booked myself my first boudoir session 📸 At the time when my self-esteem was at an all time low and depression-anxiety at an all time high, it was a radical act of self love. Fast forward to a few weeks ago when the photos popped on as a memory on Facebook. Tears welled up in my eyes, and my heart cracked open as I looked at my younger self with unconditional love and compassion. If you’ve heard of inner child work, this is an example of what it can look like.

It reminded me what photos can really do for us and why I’ve chosen photography as my career.

Our bodies are a gift, no matter what shape or form. Our bodies are sacred. They are quite simply the only reason we are living. Photos are a celebration of that, and the experience can be empowering and healing.
