Intimate Austin, TX Wedding – Brittney & Alex

When Brittney reached out, I was so excited when she kept telling me how she loved my documentary approach and that she’s a “memories person”. I knew right away that we were the perfect match!!

Prior to any wedding, I love immersing myself in couples’ stories so that I can document their wedding in a way that’s true and authentic to them. Alex and Brittany met in October of 2021 during a time when they were both seeking true love and companionship. On their first date, they spent 7 hours together. Alex was drawn in by her natural warmth and Brittany remembers the shiver of butterflies and excitement when he first held her hand as they were leaving the restaurant.

By the time their wedding came around, Brittney had given birth to their baby girl!! She requested I capture intimate moments of them getting ready together. The prep phase of the day was filled with warmth, laughter, and joy. I convinced Brittney to do a first look with her dad, and I’m pretty sure everyone in the room (including myself) had shed a least a few tears. The ceremony itself took place in an outdoor space by their church, and the celebrations for the rest of the evening inside where everyone mingled and dined.

This couple and their community were so welcoming, and definitely knew how to party too!! It is such a joy and honor to witness, capture, and celebrate with people like them.
