Beverly & Tom’s Los Angeles Wedding at Jonathan Club
As a Los Angeles documentary wedding photographer, I love capturing weddings in a way that feels timeless and true to the couple. Beverly & Tom’s day started in Beverly Hills and ended with an epic party at the Jonathan Club in Downtown Los Angeles. Shot on both digital and 35mm film, their gallery is filled with emotive, candid moments, editorial portraits, and celebration.
When Beverly first reached out, she told me how much she loved the mix of candid and posed photos in my portfolio, along with the variety of black and white and color images. It was such a joy to bring it to life. The morning began with Beverly, her daughter, and her granddaughters getting ready together—a sweet and grounding start to the day.
When I asked Beverly what she was most looking forward to, her answer was simple: they just wanted to get married and have a great party. They totally delivered! This crew knew how to celebrate, and it was a night for the books. None of it would have flowed so seamlessly without Terri from Bellisimo Events—she made sure everything ran smoothly and that every vendor was cared for. The florals by Ixora Florist added elegance and warmth to every table. And when the band, Debris Productions, kicked off the music, the dance floor stayed packed all night long.
Beverly & Tom’s day was the perfect reflection of who they are—joyful, grounded, and wildly in love.
I scanned the color film myself and just love how vivid and colorful the results are versus having them scanned by a lab!
As an artist, I love experimenting with different film stocks and trying something new every time I shoot. So I tried ISO 3200 Black and White film at their wedding and was so pleased with the results!
