There’s something incredibly special about documenting families in the places that matter most—starting at home, where everyone feels relaxed and themselves. For this recent family session, we began the afternoon in their cozy home, capturing snuggles on the couch and those everyday moments that become the most meaningful over time. Shooting both digital and film allowed me to preserve the candid energy of their home life while also weaving in the softness and timelessness that film brings.
As the sun dipped lower, we made our way to a nearby rose garden for the second half of the session. The timing was perfect—golden hour light filtered through the blooms, giving everything a dreamy glow. We all felt lit up by the fresh, ocean air and the golden light of the sunset. Whether it’s your backyard or the place where you take your every day walks, I love helping families document their unique rhythm and connection in a way that feels real and lasting.
