If you’re searching for a unique wedding venue in Austin, Justine’s Secret House (more on their Instagram here), is truly one of a kind. The space is eclectic and moody with vintage furniture, layered textures, and an intimate courtyard that feels like you’ve stepped into a European hideaway.
When Sahara and Nathan reached out, I knew we’d be a great fit. They were drawn to my photography style—moody, high-contrast images that strike the perfect balance between editorial moments showcasing a couple’s unique style and a hands-off documentary approach that captures authentic moments and all the emotions of the day. My goal is always to capture your real connection and vibe without forced posing.
Sahara and Nathan started their day at Frances Modern Inn, a stylish boutique hotel just five minutes from the venue. It was the perfect place for them to get ready with their closest friends and family—calm, beautifully designed, and conveniently located near East Austin’s best spots.
Their wedding aesthetic was inspired by all things renaissance and fantasy—think Lord of the Rings, Marie Antoinette, and the timeless feel of an old European gathering. To honor that vision, I wanted to experiment with medium format photography and rented a Hasselblad camera for the day. As an artist, I believe in experimenting and taking risks (while of course, always ensuring all the must-have shots are captured perfectly). Absolutely loving the results from the hassie – which you’ll see in the first handful of 1:1 cropped images below.
