Araceli & Anh’s wedding ceremony took place on a beautiful summer day at Chapel Dulcinea, followed by an intimate backyard wedding reception in the comfort of their home. I had so much fun documenting their wedding on a mix of digital and film, using my Canon r5 + the classic Kodak disposable and Kodak Gold 100 film. Especially after capturing their gorgeous golden hour picnic engagement session earlier this year and experiencing how much fun it is to third-wheel this couple, I could not wait for their big day to come!
I arrived early to Chapel Dulcinea to enjoy the view, scout the location, and get some fresh air. Shortly after, Araceli & Anh arrived to finish getting ready. The couples’ suites here are cute and quaint, and it was really fun capturing some details shots! As the sun dipped below the Texas country hills, Araceli & Anh shared a first look and private vows. We then made our way over to the chapel itself for their ceremony, followed by some family formals and a few more couples photos, and then we headed off back to their home for dinner and party time!
Y’all, not only does this crew know how to decorate a backyard beautifully, but this crew knows how to PARTY!! Some shutter drag coupled with the classic Kodak disposable was so perfect for capturing the vibes. The rest of the evening was filled with love, laughter, a quirky cake montage, dancing, and connection.
I absolutely love backyard celebrations. While I do love big fancy venues, too, there’s nothing like the intimacy and comfort of your own home. Weddings are all about connection, love, shared moments, and celebration – and being part of such intimate gatherings with people brings so much joy to my heart.
So so happy for these two!!!
