Mother-Daughter Maternity Beach Session – Grace & Zoe

I met Grace back in high school, she was one of my bestie’s older sister! Since Laurel passed away back when I was 17, this was our first time seeing each other in almost 15 years. It was a beautiful reunion, and throughout our session we could feel Laurel’s love and presence.

We started the session at Grace’s home, and then headed to the beach!

It was a magical afternoon at the Point Dome Beach in Malibu, where both Grace and I, and many folks in Malibu, found peace during adolescence. We had the beach almost entirely to ourselves and the weather couldn’t have been more perfect.

The primary direction I gave Grace and Zoe was to play and have fun! I love taking a more hands-off approach to family sessions. It gives kids a positive experience of having their photo taken, and you’ll also get to capture so much more joy and play!
